APPOINTMENTS
Please phone 8370 2999. Emergencies will be given priority where applicable, but every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time. If you have to change or cancel an appointment please call to let the staff know as cancelled appointments will be filled by other patients.
Standard consultations are 15 minutes per person. If you have several issues to discuss with the doctor, or a complex problem, drivers licence medical, mental health care plan, chronic disease care plan, pre-employment superannuation or insurance medicals, surgical procedures including implanon insertion or removal, 6 weeks post natal check, pap smear, counselling or you are a new patient, please let the receptionist know at the time of booking your appointment that you will need a double appointment.
Due to the increasing need for appointments, it is important that if you do not require your appointment you cancel as soon as possible so that this appointment may be used for another person.
In the case of any emergency such as chest pain phone 000 for ambulance attendance.
Accidents/Urgent issues: before attending our practice after any injury or accident please phone our rooms and speak to our staff so we can triage your situation and advise best action
AFTER HOURS
In the event of any emergency RING 000. If you need non urgent medical attention you can ring National Home Doctor Service 24 hours a day on 8130 3324.
If you ring our surgery number after hours there is an automatic diversion to the locum service.
HOME VISITS
We give home visits to our existing patients who are in need of care and cannot come to surgery. Appointment time will be made based on urgency of problem and doctor availability after communication between receptionist and Duty doctor. The doctor will speak with the patient for circumstances where urgent home visit is required.
TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS
For safety reasons, if there is a medical problem which requires discussion with the doctor we would appreciate you making an appointment to see your doctor.
Telephone consultations are only given if you are covid PCR or RAT positive, have cough or cold symptoms or if you recently saw your doctor and are awaiting results but not requiring a follow up face to face review.
All enquiries can be made via the reception staff.
Your call will be returned by the doctor at the end of their consulting session time.
